On the centennial of the cessation of the 1913-14 Copper Strike in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula the Institute of Migration in Turku, Finland, and the University of Turku’s History Department, along with Finlandia University’s Finnish American Heritage Center and Historical Archives, with support from Michigan Technological University’s Humanities Department announces FinnForm X to be held in Houghton and Hancock, Michigan, . FinnForum X, an international conference, is being held in conjunction with a Copper Country Strike Symposium hosted by Michigan Technological University’s Copper Country Historical Collections, Department of Social Sciences, and the National Park Service’s Keweenaw National Historical Park.
